Who you are buying from

Everything on this website is made or sourced and sold by Jugmug Thela, New Delhi, India. There is no marketplace here and no third-party sellers — when you buy something, you are buying it from us, and we are the ones answerable for it.

Placing an order

An order becomes a contract when we confirm it, not when you click Pay. If something you ordered turns out to be unavailable, or there is an obvious error in the price or description, we may decline the order and refund you in full. We will tell you why.

Please check the delivery address before you pay. We cannot recover a parcel that has gone to an address you gave us in error.

Prices and payment

All prices are in Indian Rupees and include GST at the applicable rate. Delivery charges, where they apply, are shown at checkout before you pay.

Payment is handled by Razorpay. We do not see or store your card or banking details. Prices can change, but never for an order already confirmed.

Delivery

We deliver across India. Orders are usually dispatched within two to three working days; once a parcel is with the courier, the delivery time is theirs rather than ours, and we will share tracking so you can see where it is.

For deliveries outside India, write to us before ordering and we will tell you whether we can send to you and what it would cost.

About the things we sell

These are food products made in small batches from natural ingredients. Colour, aroma and strength vary a little between batches, and between harvests of the same spice. That is the nature of the thing rather than a fault.

Ingredients and allergen information are printed on every pack. If you have an allergy, read the pack before using the product, and write to us first if anything is unclear. Our kitchen handles nuts, dairy and gluten, so we cannot guarantee that any product is entirely free of traces.

Nothing we sell is a medicine. Where we describe a blend as digestive, warming or calming, we are describing a culinary tradition, not making a medical claim.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

Your account

If you create an account, keep the password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. We may close an account that is being used fraudulently or to abuse our staff.

Our words and pictures

The name Jugmug Thela, our logo, our recipes, the photographs and the writing on this site belong to us. Please do not reproduce them commercially without asking. Writing about us, quoting us or linking to us is welcome and needs no permission.

Where we draw the line on liability

If we get an order wrong, we will put it right — that is covered on the refunds page. Beyond the value of the order itself, we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing here limits any right you have under Indian consumer law, and nothing here excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

If something goes wrong

Write to chaicoffee@jugmugthela.com and we will try to sort it out directly, which is faster for everyone. These terms are governed by Indian law, and the courts at New Delhi have jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
